Organisers of the Great Yorkshire Show have released additional tickets for this year's show due to 'unprecedented demand.'
The show returns to Harrogate's Great Yorkshire Showground from Tuesday 14th July - Friday 17th July.
And the Yorkshire Agricultural Society has made an extra 2,500 tickets available each day, for purchase in advance only, taking the daily capacity from 35,000 a day to 37,500 a day.
David Tite, Yorkshire Agricultural Society Manager said:
“Demand for tickets to this year's Great Yorkshire Show has been phenomenal and is a real testament to the continued popularity of the Show.
“Working with our partners, we have carefully considered how best to ensure more people can enjoy the Show and have spread the extra tickets over the four days.
"This means more visitors can enjoy the Great Yorkshire Show while still having a safe and comfortable visitor experience. “
The Great Yorkshire Show has been a sell-out success every year since 2021, when tickets were capped at 35,000 a day and moved to advance purchase only for the first time.
This year, additional tickets have been made available for Wednesday which already sold out, Thursday is close to selling out, Tuesday and Friday have limited availability.
Significant investment has been made in the car parks at the showground, which have been restructured.
David added:
“The increased daily visitor cap is still well short of pre-2021 attendance peaks, when the busiest days attracted 55,000 visitors so we know we have the infrastructure in place to carefully manage and accommodate the additional numbers.”
The Great Yorkshire Show sees 8,500 animals exhibited in pursuit of prize rosettes as the best of British agriculture is showcased alongside first-class showjumping, entertainment and shopping.
All aspects of farming, food and the countryside are celebrated across 21 sections, from a packed programme in the Food Hall, cookery theatres and Cheese and Dairy Show, to forestry, farriery, the Garden Show and hives and honey.
The Ariat GYS Stage features fashion shows, chat shows and meet and greets with celebrity guests, the future of farming is the focus of a dedicated Agri-Innovation Village and families can enjoy free activities in the Discovery Zone.
