Harrogate's famous 'Poo Bus' becomes unlikely hit in Australia

Harrogate's famous Poo Bus has made the news in Australia.

Harrogate's famous "Poo Bus" has gone international after being featured in an Australian transport magazine.

The quirky minibus, owned by Barry Busby, has already attracted attention across the UK, appearing on the BBC, in newspapers and even in a film.

Following a recent interview with BBC Look North, Barry was contacted by Australian publication ABC Magazine, which has now shared the story of the unusual vehicle with readers on the other side of the world.

The article tells how Barry transformed a £300, 17-seat LDV Convoy into the now-famous "Poo Bus", complete with emoji-themed decorations, after deciding he wanted to create something 'a little different'.

Barry said:

"I like to do things that are a bit unique. I like things that stand out."

The feature also highlights the mixed reactions the bus receives, with Barry admitting some people love it while others "find it disgusting".

However, Barry says children and adults alike regularly stop to take photos, wave or ask where the bus is when it's not on the road.

Sharing the news with Your Harrogate, Barry said:

"Whoever thought that a bit of a laugh would hit the other side of the world!"
