Harrogate author Sarah Day's debut children's novel is set to come to life on stage this week after being adapted into a brand-new musical.
Miss Influential, which was published last year, will receive its world premiere at Northern Performance Academy in Harrogate from 9th to 11th July.
The production will feature young local performers, bringing the story to life through music, dance and drama.
Sarah, who teaches drama, singing and dance to children and teenagers in Harrogate, released Miss Influential in November.
The novel follows Amberley-Jayne, a young girl whose move to a London school leads to unexpected online fame, exploring themes of identity, friendship and the impact of social media.
Speaking ahead of this week's performances, Sarah said:
"I'm thrilled to share that Miss Influential has now been adapted into a musical.
"It's a vibrant local performance featuring young talent, bringing the story to life in a whole new way."
The Harrogate-based writer, actress and teacher's work has included appearances in Calendar Girls: The Musical, Singin' in the Rain and the BBC drama Doctors.
