An independent veterinary centre in Harrogate is celebrating its 60th anniversary.
Wagtails Veterinary Centre opened its doors in October 1964, founded by young vet Mr Bryan.
Originally the practice was called N.M.Bryan, which was later changed to Wagtails Veterinary Centre when it was taken over by Mr Mitchell in 2005.
His aim was to give a “personal, quality service” and provide affordable veterinary care to the pets of Harrogate and the surrounding areas.
Since the change of ownership, Wagtails has grown to become a three-veterinary surgeon practice, supported by three Registered Veterinary Nurses, one Student Veterinary Nurse and three Receptionists.
A spokesperson for Wagtails said:
“It is such a huge milestone, seeing many independent businesses come and go over the 60 years we are very proud to still be here and what a privilege to serve our local pet community!
“Without our past and current clients this would not be possible, we will forever be grateful to them and will always welcome new patients.”
