Harrogate Hospital Radio has been nominated for a string of industry Oscars in this year’s National Hospital Radio Awards.
Harrogate Hospital Radio nominated for five broadcasting awards Harrogate Hospital Radio has been nominated for a string of industry Oscars in this year’s National Hospital Radio Awards. The National Hospital Radio Awards celebrate the continued efforts of volunteers from its member stations, who have continued to bring entertainment, light relief and information to patients. ‘The Happy Hour’, with Daniel Wilson, Oliver Scruton and Mark Oldfield, is nominated again for Best Show with Multiple Presenters. In 2023 the show won Gold in this category. Also, in the category for Best Show with Multiple presenters is ‘Chill out – with Barb Nixon and Martin Fretwell.’ On account of her Vibrant and entertaining work on ‘Solid Gold 60s’, Ellie Jackson has received a nomination for ‘Best Specialist Music Show’. Ellie is also nominated once again in the category for ‘Best Female Presenter’. And Harrogate Hospital Radio are in the running for ‘Station of the Year.’ Mark Oldfield, Harrogate Hospital Radio Chairman, said:
