Harrogate residents have a new place to pick up their next read.

Housebuilder Redrow has installed a community book box at its Kingsley Manor development off Kingsley Road, encouraging residents to swap books they've finished for new ones to read.

The mini library has been introduced as the development nears completion, with the aim of bringing neighbours together and creating a lasting feature for the community.

Steve Jackson, Sales Director at Redrow Yorkshire, said:

"Building communities is about more than homes, it's about creating spaces where people come together. We've seen how books can open doors to conversations and friendships.

"As the development reaches its final stages, we wanted to create something that would benefit residents for years to come. We hope this book box will bring people together and become a valued part of the community."

Kingsley Manor is being built on a 20.3-acre site and will eventually comprise 133 homes from Redrow's Arts and Crafts-inspired Heritage Collection.

The development will also include green space, two play areas, and cycle and footpaths linking to neighbouring developments, local amenities and Harrogate town centre.

A selection of four and five-bedroom homes remains available, including the Richmond and The Highgate house types.
