A naturist club near Harrogate is inviting people to learn more about naturism at a free Discovery Day.
Valley Sun Club, based in the countryside near Harrogate, will host the event on Saturday 1st August to coincide with Yorkshire Day.
The Discovery Day is aimed at people who are curious about naturism or would like to find out more about the club.
Visitors will be able to take guided tours of the site, speak to members and take part in optional activities including boules and mini golf.
Organisers say there is no obligation to become a member after attending.
Steve Knight, spokesperson for Valley Sun Club, said:
"Many people think naturism is about taking your clothes off.
"In reality, it's about more than that - feeling comfortable in your own skin, enjoying nature and meeting friendly, genuine people without judgement.
"Yorkshire Day is the perfect opportunity to discover that for yourself."
According to British Naturism, the UK's national organisation for naturists, naturism is the practice of going without clothing in appropriate social settings.
The organisation says many people take part because they enjoy spending time outdoors and report benefits including improved wellbeing and body confidence.
Club secretary Neil said:
"We know that walking through the gates for the first time can feel a little daunting because every one of our members was once a first-timer too.
"Our aim is simply to help people feel comfortable, answer their questions honestly and let them experience the friendly atmosphere that naturism offers."
The event is free to attend, although advance booking is required as places are limited. Organisers say they are unable to accommodate visitors who have not booked in advance.
