Olympic hero Eddie the Eagle will be the special guest speaker for the second Your Harrogate Town Business Club.
The underdog olympic ski jumper will speak at the next business club event, to be held on Friday 10th May at Rudding Park.
It’s the second event of its kind as we at Your Harrogate continue our partnership with Harrogate Town.
Michael David Edwards, better known as Eddie the Eagle, became the first Team GB representative to take part in the Olympic ski jumping event in 1988.
He may have finished last in the Normal Hill and Large Hill events, but his story charmed the world and has since lead to a hit biographical film, ‘Eddie the Eagle’, starring Taron Egerton.
He will be the second guest speaker at the Your Harrogate Town Business Club, following on from a successful talk from Roger Black MBE.
Your Harrogate Content Director Nick Hancock said:
“The first Your Harrogate Town Business Club was such a huge success - so much so that we’ve set the standard incredibly high!
“Roger Black MBE gave an amazing talk at the first event but we’re confident Eddie the Eagle can be just as inspirational for our guests.”
