Harewood House has revealed plans for a new immersive Elf Village as part of its Christmas celebrations.
The attraction will transform the North Lawn into a festive village featuring twinkling lights, decorated yurts and a cast of elves.
Families will begin their journey at the Elf Cocoa Café before visiting The Wishery, the Elf Village Post Office and the Tinker Tent.
The almost two-hour experience will end with a Santa School celebration and a personal meeting with Father Christmas. Every child with a ticket will also receive a Christmas gift.
Entry to Harewood House, its gardens and grounds is included with Elf Village tickets.
Inside the House, Magic at the Mansion will return with an immersive room-by-room journey created exclusively for Harewood by Studio McGuire.
Visitors will encounter a choir of singing candles in the Music Room and mythical characters in the State Dining Room.
The State Bedroom will feature talking pillowcases connected to Harewood’s royal history, while the Library will become an enchanted woodland filled with fairies, foliage and natural textures.
The experience will conclude with a festive gathering in the Servants’ Hall.
Yorkshire writer Christina Lewis created the script alongside Harewood’s Curator and Archivist Rebecca Burton, drawing inspiration from the House’s collections, interiors and archives.

“This year we wanted to give visitors even more ways to discover the stories behind Harewood at Christmas.
“From the fascinating objects and archives in our collections, to the surprises waiting in each room of the House, there are so many details to uncover.
“Alongside Magic at the Mansion, our Elf Village brings a completely different kind of Christmas magic to Harewood, with families able to step into an immersive festive world and meet Father Christmas.”
Harewood’s Courtyard will also offer seasonal food and drink, family activities and Christmas treats.
On seven evenings during the festive period, the Elf Village will host après-ski Christmas parties for adults as YurtBar celebrates its tenth anniversary.
Magic at the Mansion will run from Friday 6th November 2026 until Sunday 3rd January 2027.
Tickets start at £24.50 for adults and £10 for children. Entry is free for Harewood members and children aged under four.
