Volunteers have contributed 75 hours to improving Harrogate town centre on the first day of a four-day community initiative.
People joined Harrogate BID’s Action Days throughout Wednesday (16 September), bringing the total close to its original target of 80 volunteer hours with three days still to go.

A Harrogate BID spokesperson said:
“A huge thank you to everyone who volunteered their time today.
“We’re already very close to our original target of 80 volunteer hours - and we’ve still got three days to go!”
The first Harrogate Action Days run until Saturday (19th September).
Harrogate BID launched the initiative to "bring businesses, community groups and residents together" for practical projects around the town.
Activities planned across the four days include litter picking, weeding, refreshing planters, cleaning street furniture and removing graffiti.
