The Anchor Inn in Langthorpe will reopen its doors today (Friday) under new management.
Liam Gray has taken on the lease at the pub on Leeming Lane, marking a return to the licensed trade after several years performing on tour across the UK, Europe and the Middle East.
He previously ran the Courtyard Bar and Grill and the Orange Grove in Knaresborough.
Liam, who lives in Arkendale, said:
“We’re transforming it into Boroughbridge’s new home of incredible live music, great drinks and unforgettable nights.”
The Anchor Inn is owned by Red Oak Taverns, an independent pub company which operates around 200 managed, franchised and leased pubs across the UK.
Live acoustic music is planned for Friday and Saturday evenings, with the possibility of Sunday afternoon sessions in future.
Food will not be available initially while the new landlord settles in.
The pub, which opens at 12pm, is family-friendly and dog-friendly.
The Anchor Inn will be open from 3pm to 11pm Monday to Thursday, and from 12pm to midnight on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
