Ripon’s Illuminated Winter Wonderland returns to Ripon Spa Gardens today (Friday).
Ripon's Spa Gardens set to become Illuminated Winter Wonderland Ripon’s Illuminated Winter Wonderland returns to Ripon Spa Gardens today (Friday). The annual Christmas event will be running today and throughout the weekend, from 2pm until 8pm. Visitors can expect to see trees decorated with lights, refreshments, carol singing, a snow machine, free crafts and more. Local performers will also be at the Spa Gardens throughout the three-day event, including Brackenfield School, Yorkshire Voices and The Jolly Wassailers. A spokesperson for Ripon BID said:
“With our Ripon snow globe popping up at central locations too, wonderful Christmas lights and loads of independent shops and eateries to visit - make it magical this Christmas, make it Ripon!”The event costs around £7,000 a year to organise and is made possible by donations and volunteers. Donations have also been made by Ripon City Council, North Yorkshire Council and The Ripon Inn to make the event possible.
