Harrogate football clubs urged to apply for £20,000 equipment funding

Grassroots football clubs in Harrogate are being urged to apply for equipment vouchers through a new £20,000 fund.

West Riding County FA has partnered with sports equipment supplier Davies Sports to help affiliated clubs access equipment for the new season.

The annual fund is available across the association’s area, including Harrogate, with clubs able to register for the chance to receive a £100 credit voucher.

The vouchers can be used towards footballs, goals and matchday equipment.

Clubs have until Wednesday 30th September to register for the first round of funding.

Hannah Simpson, CEO of West Riding County FA, said:

“We are delighted to partner with Davies Sports to provide this fantastic opportunity for our affiliated accredited clubs.

“Grassroots football thrives when clubs have the right resources in place, and this fund will help ensure our teams have access to quality equipment to support players, coaches and volunteers throughout the season.”

Clubs registering can also access an annual 20 per cent discount voucher, exclusive club prices throughout the season and free delivery on orders over £40.

West Riding County FA oversees football across Harrogate, Leeds, Bradford and Craven, Calderdale, Kirklees, Wakefield and Selby.

Gareth Pashley, partnership and relationships marketing manager at Davies Sports, said:

“We’re thrilled to support the West Riding County FA with this £20,000 fund to help its affiliated clubs across Harrogate access high quality football equipment for the season ahead.”

He added:

“We encourage all affiliated grassroots teams in Harrogate to register and take advantage of the fantastic benefits available on football equipment from Davies Sports to make their club stronger for the season ahead.”
