The road provides a key route between Harrogate and Skipton but was closed on 2nd February. This was due to “movement of the road” which collapsed due to sustained periods of poor weather. The council have yet to give a date for its reopening but have said it will remain closed until “after Easter.” Owner Dave Suttill told Your Harrogate:
“We’ve noticed a significant decrease in visitors since the A59 was closed - but we’re still here and we’re still open! “We’re looking forward to welcoming families and children during half term for a delicious meal from our new menu.”[caption id="attachment_105690" align="aligncenter" width="1024"] The deal is for up to two mini breakfasts or pancakes, or a lunch main course.[/caption] Find out more about Mackenzies online here or follow them on Facebook.
