Homeware brand Piglet in Bed will officially open its first store on Harrogate's James Street this weekend.
Homeware brand to open new Harrogate store this weekend Homeware brand Piglet in Bed will officially open its first Harrogate store this weekend. Piglet in Bed, best known for its 100% linen bedding and other natural homewares, had been working as a purely online business. But on Saturday (9th December), the business will be opening a store on Harrogate’s James Street. Piglet in Bed is owned by Jessica Hanley, who launched the business from her mother’s shed in West Sussex in 2017. She said:
“This is a real landmark moment for us as a business. For the last seven years, since we launched Piglet in Bed, we have let ourselves dream about what our first shop could look like and now the day is finally here and we are so excited that it is in Harrogate! “We couldn’t be more proud of how it has come together and we can’t wait to have the chance to interact with our customers in person.”Shoppers can expect a mix of items including cotton bedding, sleep ware and natural homeware items. Piglet in Bed will also stock smaller, liftable items including Christmas decorations, cosy alpaca wool socks plus scented candles and diffusers. Rhiannon Johns, Head of Brand, added:
“We love the feel of the town, there are plenty of cool independents that we’re excited to collaborate with, great places to eat and beautiful surroundings. “The position on James Street is ideal being at the very centre of the hustle and bustle. “We believe Harrogate will be a place for establishing regular customers but also raising brand awareness from the many visitors that come here.”The business plans to open a second store in Bath in January 2024.
