Rudding Park is set to open a new Yorkshire-inspired adventure golf experience, celebrating the county through an 18-hole course.
The Great Yorkshire Golf Adventure will open on Yorkshire Day (Saturday 1st August) as part of the Harrogate hotel's new Gimme Golf destination.
Designed for families, visitors, friends and golfers, the course features holes inspired by Yorkshire icons including Vikings, Guy Fawkes, York Minster, Whitby, Theakston Brewery and the Yorkshire Dales.
The attraction has also been built within the outline of the county of Yorkshire.
The adventure golf course forms part of the wider Gimme Golf development, which also includes a TrackMan driving range, a six-hole short course, PGA coaching and food and drink facilities.
Matthew Mackaness, Joint Managing Director at Rudding Park, said:
"At Rudding Park we always want to ensure our members, guests and visitors experience good times, made brilliant. Yorkshire has always inspired fierce pride and The Great Yorkshire Golf Adventure is our tribute to the county we love.
"We've taken Yorkshire's stories, landmarks, myths and achievements and transformed them into a fun, immersive experience that can be enjoyed by everyone."
According to Rudding Park, the aim is to make golf more accessible and encourage people of all ages to take part.
The attraction will officially open during Gimme Golfest, Rudding Park's annual golf festival, which takes place on Yorkshire Day.
Marc Rice, Head of Golf, added:
"We have an extensive golf offering including the 18 hole Hawtree Course with a very active membership. However, golf has evolved and we are on a mission to break down traditional barriers to the game.
"Gimme Golf is about bringing people together through great social experiences, whether that's adventure golf with the family, competing with friends on the TrackMan driving range, grabbing a drink or bite to eat on the terrace, playing shuffleboard or simply spending quality time together.
"Golf is the catalyst, but the experience is about much more than the game itself."
