Following the success of last year’s Starbeck Food Fiesta held at the Harrogate Neighbours Community Hub in Starbeck, the event will return on Tuesday October 7th.
Hosted during British Food Fortnight (September 26th – October 12th), the event aims to tackle social isolation, support independent businesses in the area and bring the community together.
Harrogate Neighbours Community Hub manager, Vic Smith-Dunn said,
“We’re thrilled to be bringing the Starbeck Food Fiesta back this year.
“It’s a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the brilliant local food we have right on our doorstep, while also creating a welcoming space where the community can come together.
“Last year’s event showed the power of food to connect people, and this year we’re excited to grow the Fiesta even further.”
The vibrant community event is designed to celebrate local food, local people and showcase what Starbeck has to offer.
Food will be free of charge, but donations to the Harrogate Neighbours Community Hub are welcome, helping to continue its vital work supporting older and vulnerable people across the district.
There will be a range of produce from local food providers and producers, including fresh bread, cakes, pies, pastries, sweet treats, macarons and more.
Visitors will be able to enjoy the diversity of what “British food” means today – a rich blend of styles and flavours influenced by the whole community.
Any local food producers or providers looking to get involved in the event can get in touch with Harrogate Neighbours directly to find out more - www.harrogateneighbours.co.uk
The event will be held at Harrogate Neighbours Community Hub on Starbeck High Street on Tuesday 7th October between 12pm – 3pm.
