Harrogate's Lioness Rachel Daly has been nominated for the Women's Ballon d'Or award after a remarkable season for Aston Villa and England.

The prestigious award recognises the best female players from across the world each year. And 31-year-old Rachel has made the 30-woman shortlist. Rachel said:
"Wow, to be nominated for this award amongst some of the best players in the world is such a phenomenal honour."Rachel scored 30 goals in 30 games for Aston Villa and ended the WSL as the league top goalscorer. Her league total of 20 is the highest ever scored in a WSL season. She also helped England reach the final of the World Cup, scoring her first World Cup goal in the process. Rachel has made the Ballon d'Or shortlist alongside International teammates Millie Bright, Mary Earps and Georgia Stanway. The winner will be announced on 30th October.
