Harrogate BID has announced the return of its popular Floral Summer of Celebration this summer, bringing a series of spectacular floral displays to the town.
The much-loved floral trail will return from Friday 3rd July 2026, running for three weeks and celebrating both Harrogate’s famous floral heritage and the 60th anniversary of Harrogate International Festivals.
Delivered in partnership with Harrogate International Festivals and sponsored by Harrogate District Chamber of Commerce, this year’s trail will see unique displays installed across key town centre locations, creating colourful attractions for residents and visitors to enjoy while encouraging people to explore Harrogate’s shops, restaurants, cafés and businesses.

The Floral Summer of Celebration has become a highlight in Harrogate BID’s annual events calendar, helping to drive footfall, support the local economy and celebrate the town’s renowned floral heritage.
The BID team will once again be setting their sights on Gold, with the 2026 Floral Summer of Celebration set to be entered into this year’s Yorkshire in Bloom awards.
The trail has enjoyed continued success in recent years, with Harrogate BID achieving Gold recognition for the Floral Summer of Celebration and previously securing a triple victory at the Yorkshire in Bloom awards.
Judges have praised the trail for bringing a “friendly, unique” feel to the town centre, highlighting the support of local businesses and strong collaboration between Harrogate BID, Harrogate in Bloom, North Yorkshire Council and other floral partners.

The BID team will be hoping to continue building on this success in 2026, further enhancing Harrogate’s reputation as a leading floral destination.
Jason Maxwell, Chief Executive of Harrogate BID, said:
“We’re delighted to bring back the Floral Summer of Celebration for another year and to be working in partnership with Harrogate International Festivals as they celebrate their 60th anniversary.
“Harrogate has a fantastic floral heritage, and this event is a brilliant opportunity to showcase the town, attract visitors and create something memorable for everyone to enjoy.”
Bethany Allen, Operations Manager at Harrogate BID, said:
“The Floral Summer of Celebration is always a fantastic event to deliver, and it’s great to see the positive response it receives from businesses, residents and visitors each year.
“We are proud of the success the trail has achieved in Yorkshire in Bloom over recent years, and we’re excited to build on that as we aim for Gold once again in 2026.
“The collaboration between businesses, organisations and floral partners across Harrogate is what makes initiatives like this possible, and we can’t wait to reveal what’s planned for this year’s displays.”
Martin Mann, Chief Executive of Harrogate District Chamber of Commerce, said:
“We are delighted to be sponsoring the Floral Summer of Celebration again in 2026.
"It is exactly the sort of initiative the Chamber loves to get behind, bringing colour to the town centre, drawing visitors in and giving local businesses a welcome lift through the summer months.
"The BID team put an enormous amount of care into the trail every year, and the results speak for themselves. We are proud to play our part once again in showcasing the very best of Harrogate."
Sharon Canavar, Chief Executive of Harrogate International Festivals, said:
“We’re delighted to be working with Harrogate BID on the Harrogate Floral Summer of Celebration as we mark 60 years of Harrogate International Festivals.
“Since 1966, Harrogate International Festivals has been rooted in bringing people together through creativity, culture and shared experiences, and this partnership is a wonderful way to celebrate everything that makes Harrogate so special.
“The town’s floral heritage is recognised far and wide, and combining that with a programme of arts and entertainment will create a vibrant atmosphere for residents, businesses and visitors alike. We look forward to seeing Harrogate come alive this summer.”
Further details about the theme, displays and locations will be announced by Harrogate BID over the coming weeks.
