People across the Harrogate district are being encouraged to join North Yorkshire Police as volunteer police officers.
The force is currently recruiting Special Constables, with applications open until Sunday (30th August).
Special Constables are warranted volunteer police officers who work alongside regular officers, with duties including patrolling communities, responding to incidents and protecting vulnerable people.
No previous policing experience is required, with successful applicants receiving training ahead of joining one of the force's 2027 intakes.
Training includes evening and weekend sessions, online and face-to-face learning and a dedicated week of officer safety training.
Special Constables are required to volunteer for a minimum of 16 hours each month, with additional hours required during training and probation.
North Yorkshire Police said:
“We're looking for people from all backgrounds to join North Yorkshire Police as Special Constables.
“No policing experience? No problem. We'll provide all the training and support you need.
“If you're committed, compassionate and ready to make a difference, we'd love to hear from you.”
The recruitment process includes a national assessment followed by an interview, with interviews expected to take place in mid-to-late October.
Applications close at 11.59pm on Sunday 30th August.
