A free Halloween trail will invite families to hunt for magical ingredients across Harrogate town centre this half term.
Harrogate BID’s Halloween Potion Trail will run from Saturday 24th October to Sunday 1st November, with ten locations taking part.
Sponsored by The Crown Hotel, the trail challenges families to find window stickers revealing Harrogate-themed ingredients for an imaginary potion.
Maps can be collected from The Crown Hotel or downloaded from Harrogate BID’s website. Once all ten ingredients have been recorded, completed maps can be returned to the hotel to claim a prize.
Bethany Allen, Operations Manager at Harrogate BID, said:
“We’re delighted to bring the Halloween Potion Trail to Harrogate town centre this October half term. It’s a fun and free way for families to explore the town, discover local businesses and enjoy a little Halloween magic along the way.
“We hope plenty of curious potion seekers will pick up a map, hunt down all ten Harrogate-themed ingredients and create an imaginary potion of their own. We’re grateful to every participating business for helping us bring the trail to life.”
The participating locations are:
- The Crown Hotel
- Starling, Oxford Street
- Søstrene Grene, Cambridge Street
- Verity Frearson, Albert Street
- Tap on Tower Street
- Mama Doreen’s, Station Square
- On the Rhodes, Victoria Shopping Centre Piazza
- Althams Travel, Cambridge Street
- Harrogate Theatre, Oxford Street
- Harrogate Town AFC Shop, Commercial Street
The trail aims to encourage residents and visitors to explore different parts of the town centre while supporting local businesses during the half-term break.
Dan Siddle, General Manager of The Crown Hotel, said:
“We're delighted to once again be opening the doors of The Crown Hotel for our Halloween Trail, bringing a little seasonal magic to the heart of Harrogate.
"Halloween is a fantastic opportunity for families to come together, explore the town and enjoy some light-hearted fun, and we're proud to play a part in creating memorable experiences for local residents and visitors alike.
“As one of Harrogate's most historic hotels, we love finding new ways to engage with the community throughout the year, and the Halloween Trail has become a wonderful way to welcome people into the hotel and showcase the spirit of the town.
"We look forward to seeing lots of families taking part and enjoying everything the trail has to offer.”
Maps will be available from The Crown Hotel throughout the event.
