A new collaboration with a local community facility is set to expand audiology services in Knaresborough, helping customers access care more quickly.
Specsavers has teamed up with Chain Lane Community Hub, which has been serving the community for over 80 years, to expand appointments from its Harrogate store once a week.
The initiative aims to meet demand and ensure residents in the neighbouring town have access to essential hearing care.
Hearing care appointments at the Chain Lane Community Hub will run alongside existing services at Specsavers Harrogate every Monday from 9am to 5pm, available to book online or by contacting the store for hearing checks, device fittings, and wax removals.
Together, the two locations will double the Specsavers hear care team’s weekly capacity in the area.
The collaboration has been led by the Specsavers Harrogate hear care team, which supports customers across the district.
Audiology director, Thomas Lowrie, said:
"We know how important it is for people to access hearing care when they need it, and demand for appointments in Knaresborough has been extremely high, and this partnership enables us to ensure residents throughout the area can receive the care and support they deserve closer to home.
"The Chain Lane Community Hub is a vibrant and supportive local facility, and the team has been incredibly accommodating in helping us create additional appointments for the community.
"This collaboration allows us to see customers much more efficiently, while continuing to offer the same trusted Specsavers hear care services we’re known for."
