A new indoor golf performance venue is set to open in Harrogate later this year.

Metric Golf Club has announced plans to launch a facility at Hornbeam Park, based within the Lenz building, offering year-round coaching, practice and golf development opportunities.

The venue is being created by Harrogate entrepreneur Martin Brailsford and PGA professional Ollie White, who will oversee the club's day-to-day operations.

Metric Golf Club says its focus will be on helping golfers improve their game through coaching, technology and training facilities, rather than providing a purely entertainment-based experience.

Plans for the venue include six TrackMan simulator bays, dedicated coaching areas, club-fitting services and performance training spaces.

A clubhouse-style environment will also be created for members and visitors.

Ollie White, who currently competes on the Clutch Pro Tour, has worked with golfers ranging from beginners and juniors to experienced amateur players.

He will lead coaching programmes, player development initiatives and member engagement at the club.

Alongside memberships, Metric Golf Club intends to offer coaching packages, junior academies, club-fitting services, corporate events, leagues and competitions.

The business says further details about memberships, coaching partners and launch events will be released ahead of the opening.
