New choir set to bring women together in Knaresborough

Love Pop Choir is launching a new Knaresborough group.

A new women’s choir is set to launch in Knaresborough next month, offering the chance to sing, socialise and make new friends.

Love Pop Choir will open its seventh Yorkshire choir at Forest Moor & Calcutt Village Hall, with a special launch evening on Monday 7th September from 7.30pm until 9pm.

The launch is free to attend and will include a complimentary glass of Prosecco or orange juice.

The new Knaresborough choir is open to women of all ages, with no previous singing experience required.

There are no auditions or solos and members do not need to be able to read music, with lyrics and music scores provided at each session.

Songs will range from iconic 80s anthems and current chart hits to rock and musical theatre favourites.

Choir Director Lauren Elliott said:

“Love Pop Choir is all about enjoying singing together, having fun and taking some 'me time' from our busy lives.

“It doesn't matter if you come alone or with friends, everyone gets on and sessions are very easy and relaxed.”

Following the launch, the Knaresborough choir will meet every Monday evening from 7.30pm until 9pm during school term time.

Free taster sessions will also be available for women interested in trying the choir before joining.
