The lineup has been announced for this year's Party in the Castle in Knaresborough, with live music set to be played instead of Glastonbury.
The free community event returns to Knaresborough Castle on Saturday 27th June from 4pm until 10pm and, with Glastonbury taking a fallow year in 2026, organisers are bringing a live music and DJ-led celebration to the historic venue instead.
Among those performing are Bri Buckle, DJ Trev, Marmajam and Mister Jones and Friends, with the event being delivered in partnership with local music specialists Funk My Life (FML).
A spokesperson for Knaresborough Chamber said:
"We are very excited to announce our much loved Party in the Castle line up.
"Unfortunately Glastonbury is not on this year so with lots of help from the team at Funk My Life (FML) we are very happy to say we are having live DJ’s and an all local team to put on our free community event."
Organisers are encouraging people to bring their own food and drink for the event, with no concessions on site.
Low-back chairs will be permitted, although gazebos, footballs and barbecues are not allowed.
The event is supported by David Skaith, Mayor of York and North Yorkshire, and funded by York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority through the Vibrant and Sustainable High Streets Fund.
Knaresborough Chamber has also thanked Knaresborough Community Hub and Eventure Knaresborough for their support in helping bring the event together.
