Latest Tractor Fest hailed as most successful in 20-year history

Tractor Fest returned to Newby Hall over the weekend.

Organisers have hailed this weekend’s Tractor Fest at Newby Hall near Ripon as the most successful in the event’s 20‑year history.

Thousands of enthusiasts and families flocked to the UK’s largest tractor festival on 6 and 7 June, enjoying two days of displays, demonstrations and heritage machinery in the award‑winning setting of Newby Hall and Gardens.

More than 15,000 people attended the show, which featured more than 3,000 exhibits including vintage and modern tractor marques, cars, lorries, stationary engines, commercial vehicles and motorcycles.

This year’s major themes celebrated Scottish engineering, with tractors, engines and machinery manufactured north of the border, and Saturday's show was opened by a lone piper.

There was also a showcase of motor rollers, and a special focus on the 80th anniversary of the Czech Zetor tractor brand.

YVA chair Kevin Watson said:

“Tractor Fest grows in scale and ambition every year, and that’s down to the fantastic support we receive from exhibitors, sponsors and visitors.

"This year was our most impressive yet, with our biggest celebration of agricultural machinery to date on display across 120 acres of Newby’s beautiful parkland.”

Tractor Fest is organised by the Yorkshire Vintage Association (YVA) and sponsored by Cheffins, Econ Engineering, PV Brockhills of Yorkshire, Friends of Ferguson Heritage, Old Oil & Gas Engine Magazine and Vintage Engine Enthusiast. The show is supported by Ripon Farm Services.
