Knaresborough's "Party in the Castle" to return in 2024 Knaresborough’s Party in the Castle event will return next year, organisers have confirmed. The event was held in June in the grounds of Knaresborough Castle, allowing residents to watch Glastonbury on the big screen. It was organised through a collaboration between Knaresborough & District Chamber and North Yorkshire Council - and the two groups have confirmed it will be back in 2024. Party in the Castle 2024 will be held on Saturday 29th June. A spokesperson for Knaresborough Chamber said:
“We are excited to announce the funding of 50% from North Yorkshire Council through Matt Walker and we have saved the date with Tim Dabell manager of Parks and open spaces to secure the castle yard. “We will be announcing our town events sponsorship packages in the new year. It cost around £4,000 to hold the event, with Knaresborough Chamber receiving half from the Council before holding a Crowdfunding campaign for the other £2,000. ‘Party in the Castle’ was a not-for-profit community event.
