A total of 18 spooky scarecrows have been hidden around Knaresborough for families to hunt during October half term.
Knaresborough scarecrow trail begins in time for half term Knaresborough’s popular Scarecrow Trail started at the weekend with the aim of attracting visitors to the town this half term. As part of the family event, participants are invited to buy a map and hunt down 18 spooky scarecrows. They’ve been designed by local businesses and will be hidden around the town until 5th November. It’s been organised by Knaresborough Business Collective, who are also running a spooky shop window competition. Those who complete the trail will be entered into a prize draw to win £50. There is also a £50 prize for the best spooky/autumnal shop window, which must be decorated by 27th October to take part.
