Local businesses around Knaresborough have been decorated with Christmas trees ahead of the festive season.
A team of volunteers from Knaresborough Business Collective visited various town centre businesses to put up Normann Fir trees from Stockeld Park yesterday (Thursday).
The group had whittled the trees and wrapped them in lights before putting them up in time for ‘Bright Friday’.
A spokesperson for Knaresborough Business Collective said:
“We worked a solid 11 hours and got every single tree up.
“Thank you so much to the absolute dream team of helpers who made it possible.
“We will be round on Monday with extensions for those who need them!”

‘Bright Friday’ takes place in the town on the final Friday of November each year.
The event, which will be held on Friday 29th November this year, sees Knaresborough’s Christmas lights switch-on event and the start of the town's Christmas celebrations.
The Knaresborough community is invited to come together for a night of music, late-night shopping and Christmas refreshments.
The evening will start at 5:30pm before a light parade led by the town crier at 6pm, setting off from the grounds of Knaresborough Castle.
The town's Christmas tree will be switched on at 6:30pm.
