'Bonkers' burlesque show returns to Harrogate

Burlesque Bonanza is returning to Harrogate.

A night of burlesque, cabaret and comedy is coming to Harrogate in support of an international medical charity.

Burlesque Bonanza: Bonkers, But Make It Sexy will take place at Manhattan Club on Friday 2nd October.

The adult-only show will feature a hand-picked cast performing a mix of burlesque, cabaret and comedy.

Organisers have promised “glorious chaos, outrageous comedy and spectacular tease”, with acts ranging from the elegant and glamorous to the unusual and ridiculous.

The event is produced by Madam Sakura and Foxie Gingerella following the success of their previous Harrogate show.

That event raised £2,034.64 for Médecins Sans Frontières, also known as Doctors Without Borders.

This year’s proceeds will again support the charity on behalf of Andy Dennis, a field nurse who has delivered medical care in challenging environments around the world.

Organisers said:

“Expect the weird. Expect the wonderful. Expect the unexpected.

“Whether it’s absurd, elegant, hilarious or downright ridiculous, one thing is guaranteed—you’ll be talking about it long after the curtain falls.”

Doors will open at 6:30pm, with the event expected to finish at around 10:30pm.

Tickets are priced between £16.96 and £22.38 and are available through Eventbrite.

The show is strictly for those aged 18 and over and will include adult themes, partial nudity and strong language.
