Jaflong on Kirkgate in Ripon has been named Bangladeshi Restaurant of the Year at the National Curry Awards 2024.
Jaflong in Ripon named Bangladeshi Restaurant of the Year A popular Ripon restaurant has been named Bangladeshi Restaurant of the Year at the National Curry Awards. Jaflong on Kirkgate scooped the award at a ceremony held in Manchester last night (Monday). The restaurant was shortlisted in the same category in 2023 but lost out to Bangla Lounge in Birstall. However, after being named as a finalist for a second consecutive year, Jaflong was crowned the winner for 2024. Owner Salauddin Khan said:
“We were up against some very tough competitors and to win this award is just amazing. “We wouldn’t be where we are now without you - our lovely customers. “Thank you all so much for your support and kindness, it means the world to us. “Be sure to call in for an award-winning curry experience and have a look at the presentation ceremony!”Jaflong is open seven nights a week as both a restaurant and takeaway.
