A woman is due to appear in court charged with burglary and fraud in Harrogate.
On Sunday afternoon (31st May), North Yorkshire Police received a report that a suspect had entered the house of a woman in her 70s and taken her purse.
Her debit card was used soon after to make purchases at a number of shops in Harrogate.
A 61-year-old woman was arrested. She has since been charged with burglary and fraud.
She is due to appear at York Magistrates Court on 13th July 2026.
