Harrogate Town have announced their tenth signing of the Summer as Josh Hmami signs from Halifax Town for an undisclosed fee.
The attacking midfielder joins on the back of a standout season with The Shaymen which yielded 19 goal contributions from midfield.
Head of Player Recruitment Lloyd Kerry said:
“We wanted someone who is proven at the level, he’s a goalscoring threat, is very mobile and works hard, so overall he ticks lots of boxes for us.”
“He’s an ambitious lad and fits the profile we are looking for in that position, we hope he can bring goals like he did last season.”
“It’s a signing that we think shows our ambition, he likes the way the club is going and the project here and we think he’ll be a big part of it going forward.”
Born in Oldham, Josh spent his younger years on the books of Bolton, Barnsley and Accrington, making his debut for the latter in August 2017.
Hmami then joined Welsh Premier League side The New Saints, but would spend time on loan at FC United of Manchester and Ramsbottom.

Permanent moves to Marine and Southport followed, where Josh would make over 100 appearances, eventually moving to Kings Lynn and his most recent club Halifax.
It was during last season at The Shay where EFL clubs would begin to circle around the attacking midfielder who registered 19 goal contributions and a National League December Player of the Month award.
Josh will wear the number 17 shirt at Town.
