The students were delighted to be named as finalists in the National School Song 2024 competition.
Out of over 1000 entries, Brackenfield secured a spot amongst the top 11.
Thursday, 26th September, was a day filled with anticipation and excitement as members of the school choir embarked on a journey to Radlett in Hertfordshire to compete in the final.
The school were delighted after entering one of the school’s directors of music, Ms. Leaf’s original song, ‘The Promise’ to be named as finalists in the National School Song 2024 competition. Out of over 1000 entries, Brackenfield secured a spot amongst the top 11.
This was a remarkable chance for the young pupils of Brackenfield to showcase their talents and embody their school values of respect, perseverance, and confidence through the performing arts.
Director of music, M.s Leaf said,
“It was a huge thrill for ‘The Promise’ to be chosen for the finals of the National School Song Competition.
I am privileged to work with Brackenfield School Junior Choir, and it was very special indeed to share the song’s message of love, hope and peace on stage at such a wonderful event.”
