Harrogate law firm Raworths has been named Private Client Team of the Year at the Yorkshire Legal Awards 2026.
The firm’s Trusts, Wills and Estates team received the award at a ceremony at New Dock Hall in Leeds on Thursday 8th October.
The awards are judged by an independent panel of experts from across Yorkshire’s legal community.
Commenting on Raworths’ win, the judges said:
“In an outstanding field that made the decision particularly challenging, Raworths demonstrated the expertise and dedication required to support clients through deeply personal and complex matters.
"Its commitment to client care and contribution to the wider community reflected the very best of private client practice.”
The 24-strong team is one of the largest private client teams in Yorkshire.
It recently retained top-tier rankings in the Legal 500 and a Band 1 ranking in the Chambers High Net Worth Guide 2026 for the tenth consecutive year.
Rachel Tunnicliffe, Senior Partner and Head of Private Client Services at Raworths, said:
“We’re incredibly proud to see our Private Client team recognised at the Yorkshire Legal Awards.
"This reflects the expertise, commitment and collaborative spirit of our whole team, and the exceptional service they provide to businesses, families and individuals across the region and beyond.
"Our people are at the heart of Raworths, and this recognition is a real testament to the culture we have built together – one where talented individuals work collaboratively to support our clients through every stage of their personal and professional lives.
“We’d like to thank the judges for this award and extend our congratulations to all of this year’s winners.”
Raworths was also shortlisted for Law Firm of the Year in the medium-sized firm category.
Managing Partner Simon Morris, who is marking 25 years at Raworths and four years leading the firm, was shortlisted for Managing Partner of the Year. Rachel was also nominated for Yorkshire Lawyer of the Year.
Now in their 27th year, the awards recognise law firms, in-house teams and individual practitioners across the region.
Luke Corcoran, Chair of the judging panel, said:
“The Yorkshire Legal Awards showcase the very best of our profession: talent, dedication, judgement and service right across this remarkable region.
"As Head Judge, it has been a real privilege to see the calibre of this year’s entries, which reflect not only outstanding legal expertise but also the strength, ambition and community spirit of Yorkshire’s legal sector.
"To be shortlisted is a significant achievement, and I hope the awards continue to inspire firms, teams and individuals to celebrate the exceptional work being done here in God’s own county.”
The award comes during a year in which the 70-strong firm has welcomed new partners and expanded its commercial and private client work regionally and nationally.
Raworths has been headline sponsor of the Raworths Harrogate Literature Festival since 2012.
This year, it also became title sponsor of Salon North, Harrogate International Festivals’ series featuring speakers from the arts, sciences and psychology.
