A Glow Ride will take place in Harrogate this month to highlight the need for safer streets for women to cycle.
Changing The Landscapes CIC is organising the event in partnership with Cycling UK on Thursday 22nd October, starting at 7pm.
The ride supports the #MyRideOurRight campaign, which highlights that making cycling safer for women makes it safer for everyone.
Open to all, the ride will cover around four miles, with marshals on hand to guide participants.
It's expected to finish at around 8.30pm.
Riders are encouraged to bring lights and wear bright colours to help light up the night. Participants must bring their own bike and are asked to wear a helmet.
Organisers said:
“We want people to bring their bikes, lights, bright colours and come glow with us.”
An adults-only meet-up will follow at North Bar, giving participants a chance to chat with fellow riders and find out more about the non-profit organisation’s upcoming activities.
Spaces for the meet-up are limited and must be booked separately.
To take part, book your place on the Harrogate Glow Ride here. You can also reserve a space at the After Glow meet-up here.
