RHS Garden Harlow Carr is hosting a three-day celebration of autumn this weekend.
The Harrogate garden’s Autumn Weekend runs from Friday 16th to Sunday 18th October, with seasonal displays, expert talks and guided walks.
Visitors can explore autumn colour across the garden, from Japanese acers around the Sandstone Rock Garden and Lily Pond to golden woodland walks and reflections on the Queen Mother’s Lake.
The event will also feature the RHS Late Fruit and Vegetable Competition, with more than 60 classes showcasing homegrown produce.

The Northern Fruit Group Apple Display will return, with visitors invited to bring their own homegrown fruit for identification and advice from specialists.
Members of the Mid Yorkshire Fungus Group will lead talks, Q&A sessions and guided fungus forays, helping visitors discover the varieties growing throughout the garden.
The forays take place daily at 11.30am and 1.30pm, costing £3 per person. Places are limited and must be booked in advance.
Jenny Sergeant will also give expert talks at 11am on Friday and Saturday.
Fiona Slight, Curator at RHS Garden Harlow Carr, said:
“Autumn truly is one of the most rewarding seasons at RHS Harlow Carr.
“The changing colours bring an entirely new character to the garden, from the vivid reds of the acers around the Sandstone Rock Garden to the golden canopies in the Woodland landscape and the beautiful reflections on the Queen Mother's Lake.
“There's something different to discover every week, making it a wonderful time to slow down, enjoy nature and experience the garden in a completely new light.”

Elsewhere, visitors can see bronze-orange foliage on the Arboretum’s dawn redwoods, while ornamental grasses, late-flowering plants and decorative seedheads continue to provide interest in the Main Borders and Sun Border.
Autumn Weekend is included with normal garden admission and is free for RHS members, with an additional charge for the guided fungus forays.
