A Harrogate karate club has secured a whopping 11 medals at a major international competition in Scotland.
A squad of nine competitors from Harrogate Shotokan Karate Club travelled to Motherwell to take part in the Scotland International Open - an event which attracted around 600 entries from across Great Britain as well as Italy, India and Brazil.
The club, which is based at Harrogate High School, was led by instructor Zoe Price and enjoyed a successful weekend, finishing fifth in the overall medals table.
Harrogate Shotokan Karate Club claimed five gold medals, one silver and five bronze medals, competing against some of the largest associations in Scotland and beyond.
Among the gold medal winners was Zoe Price, who took victory in the Ladies Veteran Kata category.
Valerie Jones won gold in Ladies Veteran Kumite, while Sam Watson secured two gold medals in the Under-21 Open Weight Kumite and Under-21 -75kg Kumite divisions.
Jade Stapleton-Smith also claimed gold in the Senior Male Open Weight Kumite event and added a silver medal in the Senior Male -75kg Kumite category.
The club's bronze medal winners included Jonty Price, who earned podium finishes in both the 10-11 Years Mixed Kata and Boys 10-11 Years Kumite competitions.
Evander Morrison secured bronze in Male Cadet Kumite, while Valerie Jones added two further bronze medals in Ladies Veteran Kata and Ladies Open Weight Kumite.
