A Harrogate care manager who began her career as a Bluebird Carer more than 14 years ago has won a prestigious national award.
Sophie Bellwood, Registered Manager and co-owner of Bluebird Care Harrogate, was named winner of the Inspirational Home Care Manager Award (North) at the National Stars of Social Care Home Care Awards 2026.
The awards celebrate the dedication and commitment of people working across the social care sector and were hosted by ITV This Morning presenter Josie Gibson.
Sophie started her career supporting people in their own homes before progressing through the business to become Registered Manager and co-owner.
The award recognises her leadership, commitment to person-centred care and positive impact on customers, families and colleagues.
Sheree Jenman, owner of Bluebird Care Harrogate and Bluebird Care Leeds North, said:
"We're absolutely delighted that Sophie has received this national recognition.
"Sophie's journey is everything that is brilliant about social care. She is proof that with the right values, support and commitment, care can offer an incredibly rewarding and meaningful career."
