Grantley Hall near Ripon has won a national award for its gardens.
The hotel won the UK title for Best Landscape Architecture & Garden Design at the 2027 Condé Nast Johansens Awards for Excellence.
The winners were announced in London on Monday 2nd November.
The annual awards recognise hotels and other properties recommended by the travel guide.
Readers were invited to vote, with a final round of voting after the shortlist was announced in September.
A spokesperson for Grantley Hall said:
“From autumn’s golden leaves and winter’s frosted lawns to spring blossom and summer in full bloom, every season brings a different beauty to Grantley Hall.
“This award is a wonderful recognition of the expertise and attention to detail that our estates team brings to the grounds throughout the year.”
Grantley Hall’s 38 acres of gardens and grounds include a Japanese garden thought to have been designed by Lady Jane Furness around 1910.
It was built using stone from nearby Brimham Rocks and has two ponds linked by a stream.
The Grade II* listed hall opened as a five-star hotel in July 2019 after a four-year restoration involving three generations of the Sykes family.
