Spire Harrogate Clinic has been rated 'Good' following an assessment by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
The clinic received the rating across all five inspection areas: safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led.
The assessment, carried out on 28th July, covered its diagnostic imaging and outpatient services.
Inspectors praised the care provided by staff, alongside work with local organisations to make the clinic more accessible and inclusive.
The CQC report said:
“The service was exceptional at treating people with kindness, empathy and compassion and in how they respected people's privacy and dignity.”
The clinic has worked with Disability Action Yorkshire, Dementia Forward Harrogate and Vision Support Harrogate District to help improve the experience of patients with a range of needs.
Inspectors also highlighted its personalised approach, finding that staff ensured care and treatment reflected patients’ preferences.
One patient told inspectors:
“Outstanding care from everyone today from the minute I walked through the door. Professional attitude shown by everyone which was balanced with kindness and understanding.”
The report found that the clinic had robust systems in place to deliver safe and effective care, supported by the wider Spire Healthcare network.
Tim Cook, General Manager at Spire Harrogate Clinic, said:
“We are incredibly proud of this report and how it reflects the dedication, compassion and professionalism of our colleagues and consultants.
"We believe healthcare should be accessible, inclusive and centred around the needs of every individual, and we’re delighted to have been recognised for the safety and quality of our services.”
