Harrogate is preparing for seven days of beer-themed fun as part of Harrogate Beer Week later this month.
Five Harrogate district breweries sign up for return of Harrogate Beer Week Blessed with breweries, taprooms and some of the best independent pubs and bars in Yorkshire, Harrogate is nurturing a growing reputation as a leading UK beer destination. Now, for the third year in succession, the town is preparing for seven days of beer-themed fun in the shape of Harrogate Beer Week. From Monday 18th September, pubs, bars, breweries, artists, musicians, cafés and restaurants across the town will come together to shine a spotlight on Harrogate’s prodigious craft beer and brewing heritage. The HG postcode now boasts five great breweries – internationally renowned Roosters; rising star Harrogate Brewing; Daleside, the oldest local brewery; Knaresborough-based Turning Point, and at the heart of the community, Cold Bath Brewing. [caption id="attachment_77947" align="aligncenter" width="1024"] Harrogate Beer Week is back later this month.[/caption] With special events planned at taprooms, bars and eateries across Harrogate, the week is set to be a fantastic celebration of all things beer in the local community. The culmination of the week will be Septemberfest – a family-friendly mini-festival of food, drink and live music on the front lawns of the Cedar Court Hotel on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th. Think German food and barbeques, oompah bands and DJ sets, kids’ entertainment… And local wines and spirits as well, of course, as beer. Harrogate Beer Week 2023 is organised by a group of local businesses and beer-loving residents, collectively known as Harrogate Beer Week Association. The event is made possible by support from Harrogate BID and is run as a not-for-profit. To find out more, visit www.harrogatebeerweek.co.uk. Read more local stories from Your Harrogate here.
