Date announced for next Harrogate Food and Drink Festival

Harrogate's Food and Drink Festival is back next year.

Harrogate Food and Drink Festival will return to The Stray on 19th and 20th June 2027.

The seventh annual event promises new family attractions alongside street food, live music, cookery demonstrations and an artisan market featuring more than 80 independent businesses.

Four stages will host entertainment throughout the weekend, with local musicians on the Main Stage and regional chefs joining Steph Moon in the Cookery Theatre.

The Sizzling Showdown Arena will return following its debut in 2026, featuring Wally Woof’s Family Dog Show, The Chilli Challenge, Foodie Olympics and Pies Down, Eyes Down Bingo.

Matthew J Magic will host the Live Entertainers Stage, with six daily shows featuring magicians, performers and circus acts, plus circus workshops.

Festival Director Michael Johnston said:

“It's always a pleasure to return to The Stray and see so many familiar faces alongside visitors joining us for the first time.

"Over the last six years, we've been fortunate to welcome thousands of festival-goers, alongside a wonderful community of independent traders, performers and entertainers who've helped shape the event.

“Each year, we look at how we can improve the festival experience, whether that's through production, entertainment or new activities.

"Attendee feedback plays an important part in that process, and we're using it to help shape our plans for 2027. There's plenty to look forward to when we return next summer.”

Visitors can also expect a street food village serving dishes from around the world, independent bars and stalls selling local crafts, small-batch goods and sweet treats.

A mobile farm, traditional funfair and site-wide scavenger hunt are set to return, with further attractions to be announced in the coming months.

Organisers are also inviting independent businesses to get involved.

Assistant Festival Manager Izaak Shuttleworth said:

“We're always looking to discover new businesses and give them an opportunity to showcase what they do.

"We'd encourage anyone interested in getting involved to get in touch as we work towards bringing together our most varied selection of independent traders yet.”

Harrogate Mind will return as the festival’s main charity partner. Organisers say the event and its sister festivals have collectively raised £210,000 for mental health initiatives.

Limited early bird tickets are now on sale.
