The winner of this year's Harrogate Christmas Shop Window competition was announced last night (Wednesday) following a record number of entries.
More than 40 town centre businesses took part in the annual competition, which offers them the opportunity to show off their creative skills, whilst adding to the festive feel of the town over the Christmas period.

The categories included shops, pubs and restaurants, services and hotels.
The annual awards evening was held at The Yorkshire Hotel last night (Wednesday 10th December) and saw Weetons crowned the overall winner.

Bethany Allen, Operations Manager at Harrogate BID said:
“It is really great to see this competition growing each year, beating the number of entries from previous years. It shows how much the businesses love to get involved.”
“The judges and I were taken back by each and every display, the creativity and effort that is put in really shines through, it is an honour to judge them.
“Without a doubt, the shop window displays complete Harrogate’s festive offer and truly adds to the festive feel of the town.”
“I’d like to express a huge thank you to the each and every business that enters, the judges and our partners who come together and make the competition a growing success.”
