The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for thunderstorms affecting Harrogate and the surrounding areas tomorrow (Thursday).
The warning is in place from 2am until around 5pm and forecasters say residents should prepare for intense thunderstorms, with a risk of flash flooding and lightning strikes.
Public transport services, including rail and buses, could also face disruption, and there is a chance of power cuts or interruptions to other services.
A yellow weather warning means severe weather is possible and may cause some impacts, though many people will be able to continue with their normal activities.
The Met Office advises people to stay aware of the forecast and be prepared for localised issues such as delays to travel.
