Pupils at Harrogate Ladies’ College are celebrating their best A*-A grade percentage in four years as this year's A Level results are announced.
The school, which is becoming Duchy College, also achieved a 100% pass rate and its highest A Level value-added score in three years, measuring pupils' academic progress against their starting points.
Two-thirds of pupils achieved at least one A* or A grade, while the school's A*-B percentage improved for the third consecutive year.
Maths and Further Maths were particularly strong, with 80% of grades at A*-A.
More than half of pupils – 53% – will now go on to study STEM subjects at university.
Among those celebrating is Tilly Reid, who achieved three A*s and has been accepted to study Psychology at the University of Birmingham.
She said:
“Achieving three A*s is a dream come true.
“I am so proud to follow in my mother and sibling’s footsteps as alumni, the school has provided us all with incredible opportunities and I am forever grateful for my time here.”
Former head prefect Josephine Williams has secured a place to study Neuroscience at King’s College London after achieving results averaging more than a grade above her baseline predictions.
Meanwhile, Tamara Pohronska achieved A*AAA in Economics, Maths, Further Maths and Physics and will now study Mechanical Engineering at Columbia University in the United States.
She said:
“I couldn’t believe it when I was accepted into Columbia, it’s a dream come true for me.
“The individual support, small class sizes and atmosphere for learning played a major part in helping me secure a place at Columbia.”
Other destinations include University College London, Manchester, Newcastle, Bristol, Queen’s University Belfast and Durham.
Head prefect Anya Soranaraksopon will study Medicine at the University of Edinburgh, Tara Simonović will study Architecture at King’s College London and Tabby Hartley is heading to Durham University to study Modern Languages and Cultures.

“We are excited to begin our next chapter as Duchy College and we look forward to providing opportunities for boys and girls as they work towards their individual ambitions.”
