Storm Agnes is set to hit the UK tomorrow (Wednesday) and a weather warning will be in place for the Harrogate district from 12pm. It will remain in place until 7am on Thursday, with rain also in the forecast for the area. ‘Agnes’ is to become UK's first named storm in autumn and could potentially bring power cuts and travel disruption, ranging from falling trees to floods. The South West, Midlands and North will be hit hardest. Gusts are expected to reach up to 80mph in coastal areas and between 50mph and 60mph inland.
