Wantaway Leeds United forward Willy Gnonto was spotted in Harrogate on Saturday afternoon as his teammates lost 1-0 to Birmingham City.

Wantaway Leeds United star spotted in Harrogate as teammates lose to Birmingham Wantaway Leeds United player Willy Gnonto was spotted in Harrogate on Saturday (12th August) as his teammates lost at Birmingham City. The 19-year-old forward was pictured with a fan on Saturday afternoon whilst Leeds United fell to a 1-0 defeat in the Championship. Gnonto has been linked with a move to Premier League club Everton, who have also just agreed a loan deal for his teammate Jack Harrison. Twitter user StuW1989, who posed for a photo with Gnonto, said he was “on the ale” in Harrogate. Stu teased:

"Weekend away in Harrogate and only bumped into Everton's new signing. "Big smile on this face when I asked him about Everton!”

Earlier this week, Willy Gnonto and his representatives were informed by Leeds United that he would not be sold this summer. The club said in an official statement before the game:

"Despite training for the last two days, Willy has informed Daniel Farke that he still does not feel able to play this weekend and has not travelled to Birmingham for the game tomorrow. "This is now an internal disciplinary matter and the club will make no further comment, other than to reiterate that Willy Gnonto is not for sale."

Leeds United Manager Daniel Farke told SkySports after the match:

“I want a group fully focused and committed. This club is bigger than any player or manager or board member. I’m not begging anyone ‘Please play for us’. The club too big. “If a player doesn’t want to be with us then they can train alone and use their own dressing room. I need players who are fully committed to defend the shirt.”
