A tortoise tank caused a fire at a home in Harrogate on Friday (17th January).
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue were called to reports of a fire at a residential property at 3:11pm.
And crews believe it was caused by an "overheating lamp" in a pet tank.
A service spokesman said:
"The crew from Harrogate responded to an activation of an automatic fire alarm at a residential property.
"This was caused by an overheating lamp in a tortoise tank."
