St Michael's annual carol service raises £15,000 to support local families The Saint Michael’s Hospice annual carol service has raised a whopping £15,000 for the charity. The event was held at Rudding Park on Monday (11th December) and was led by Matthew Evans from Christ Church. The choir of St Peter’s Church provided the music and Christmas readings from special guests. And following a large number of ticket sales alongside a raffle, the event raised more than £15,000. This included £1,600 raised from ‘gifts of care’ baubles which were sold to those who attended the service. Tony Collins, Chief Executive at St Michaels, said:
“This years’ service was an especially successful evening as we raised over £15,000 to support local families facing terminal illness and bereavement this festive season. “On behalf of everyone at Saint Michaels, I wish you and your family a peaceful and merry Christmas and a very happy new year.”The annual event, which was hosted by Your Harrogate’s Nick Hancock, is an annual collaboration between Rudding Park and St Michael’s Hospice.
